PTI Substation

The mini substations are designed to supply long distance public lighting networks from Low Voltage networks (LV from 120 to 415 V) by stepping-up the voltage to Medium Voltage (MV from 1 to 6.9 kV). The substations are also designed to supply networks from Medium Voltage networks (MV 1 to 6.9 kV) by stepping-down the voltage to Low Voltage (LV 120 to 415 V).

The LV and MV coils of the PTI substations are varnish impregnated and the transformers are delivered in an aluminium or a steel enclosure. The power rating range is from 16 to 160 kVA (other specifications on request)

Standard Features :

  • Safety Lock - to prevent access to the MV compartment (access is only gained by ensuring that all protection features/isolating switches are "open")
  •  Transformer Design - typically our dry type transformers (with impregnated windings) are used, but certain models have IP68 sealed transformers.Oil transformers are available on request.
  • Fuses - HRC Fuses 
  • Output cut-off rotating switch on the MV side  
  • Enclosures - The outer casing is IP 21 compliant (indoor version) or IP 44 compliant (outdoor version)  
  • Standards - The PTI models are compliant with the NFC 13200 and NFC 64400 standards.
